Matthew 7: 21-29
BUILDING ON THE ROCK OF AGES
BUILDING ON THE ROCK OF AGES
Main Scripture Text: Matthew 7: 21-29
Introduction: (Matthew 7:21–23) After counselling about false prophets, Christ then counsels about the problem of false profession. The warning about false prophets was a warning not to be deceived by others; the warning about false profession is a warning not to be deceived by yourself. The warning here about false profession is a most important one. Because if you have a Profession of Christ without a Possession of Christ you are building your life on Sinking Sand. You are eternally lost and without hope of Heaven because your trust is in your Religion about Jesus Christ and you have no Relationship with Jesus Christ. You will not survive the storms of Hell and life without a Rock-Solid Faith in Jesus Christ. A faith that is real, a faith that brings powerful change in your life. A faith in Jesus Christ that causes a new birth, A faith in Jesus Christ that makes you a new creation and brings you into a new relationship with God that you never had before. You are made new standing on Jesus Christ the Solid Rock! What a terrible thing to end up in hell thinking you were saved.

James 2:26
II. ROCK SOLID FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST WILL BRING STEADFAST ENDURANCE Matthew 7: 25 and 27
The test of your faith is your Steadfast Endurance in the storm.
Habakkuk 3:17-19, Job 13:15 Do you know what faith is? Faith is not receiving from God the things you want; it is accepting from God the things He gives.
